Jakarta - Yamaha indeed achieve positive results in this year's MotoGP series opener. However team boss Davide Brivio said that Yamaha still has deficiencies in terms of power.

Yamaha MotoGP finish 1-2 in Qatar, Monday (12/4/2010) early morning hrs. This incision is certainly a good start for the Japanese manufacturer.

Even so, Brivio says that his team still lack the power aspect. "We have trouble in the straight path," she told La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported from Autosport.

Even so Brivio said that this problem may not be solved in quick time. "Because the new rules stipulate that drivers are limited only use six machine only, then find the solution to this problem in quick time, may be a problem."

"We have to think about the units that are ready. What is clear we are hoping to soon find a small solution to solve this situation," he continued.

Yamaha problem is not just about power. In Qatar, the motor used by Valentino Rossi was immediately stopped when crossing the finish line. Brivio said that it is the effect of wheelspin during the race which takes more fuel.

"We have a system that can calculate how much fuel is needed during the race. In the post-race evaluation, we found that the system was not working."

Even so Brivio said that about this system is not a big problem. "Fuel is adequate and in fact exceeded Valentino finish line without any problems."

Brivio explained about the fuel consumption is also influenced by external factors. "There is a path that provides more difficulty than others, and in the past has also happened that we finish on time. It is also influenced by a combination of circuit characteristics and temperature. When the temperature is cold, more fuel consumption than when hot, "lid.
