Sport News - In the last three races, Casey Stoner always managed to climb the podium. Plus a series of positive results at Laguna Seca, Stoner is optimistic he was not far away with a victory.
Three times a podium was obtained via a third place finish in the Netherlands, Catalonia, and Germany. In the last series in Germany, Ducati is acquired through a fierce duel against champion Valentino Rossi to survive.
These results make Stoner is optimistic that he was getting closer to victory. "We're not too far (in victory). We just live in need of repair in terms of grip and stability when braking and handling. This will allow us to improve the record time of about 0.1 or 0.2 seconds," the Australian driver's straightforward as quoted from Sportal.com.au.
