Sport News - There is no certainty about the future of Valentino Rossi at Yamaha. The Japanese manufacturer says that now all decisions in the hands of The Doctor.
Rossi's contract with Yamaha will expire at the end of this year. Casey Stoner moved to Honda makes VR46 rumored to be joining the Ducati.
Italian nationals racer said he was ready to announce a future in the Czech GP in Brno, which was held August 15 according to schedule.
Yamaha said it has tried to maintain Rossi. "The proposal (new contract) for Valentino Rossi has made and I say that so far everything is going well," said team boss Lin Jarvis in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We want everything done in Brno so we can announce the team for the 2011 racing season," he continued.
Eurosport reported, Jarvis stated that Rossi's decision is the final determinant of what the 'story' of this and future of both parties later.
"I can not give details about what kind of ongoing negotiations. But in our view, the bid we submitted was unacceptable. Now all depends on the answers we received from Valentino," he explained.
So what steps to be prepared if Rossi Yamaha chose to go? The reason is the departure of seven-times world champion 500cc/MotoGP class is also likely to impact the departure of one partner Fiat.
For the rider replacement, Jarvis said that the Vale is a strong candidate replacement Ben Spies. "If one of the two drivers we go, so he (Spies) entry. We believe could have a lineup of champions in the 2011 season."
What about your partner? "We've made contact with Petronas to 2011. We also talked with other companies. But we're not worried. This will be the third step and the main priority is for the team," Jarvis cap.
