Sport News - Ducati's Casey Stoner became the fastest in first practice session MotoGP Indianapolis, Saturday (8/28/2010) early morning local time, while beating championship leader, Jorge Lorenzo.
During the one hour session, Lorenzo actually appear dominant. He started to lead since the 15th minute, but then be defeated Stoner in the last 16 minutes. Stoner recorded the best time of one minute 40.884 seconds, nearly a half seconds ahead of Yamaha's.
Despite the close distance to the difference Lorenzo 0.225 seconds at the end of the session, but that does not cancel Stoner's victory in today.
Stoner on the Ducati team mate, Nicky Hayden, also posted good results, finishing in third place. Only the United States host driver was lightly injured in the hand because it had fallen in Turn 13.
Dani Pedrosa (Honda) and Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) followed them at fourth and fifth, followed in succession by Colin Edwards, Andrea Dovizioso, Ben Spies, Aleix Espargaro, and Marco Melandri.
