Latihan Bebas I & II Motogp Indianapolis 2011

Motogp - Pembalap tuan rumah, Ben Spies, menguasai sesi latihan bebas pertama MotoGP Indianapolis. Pembalap tim Yamaha itu mengungguli pemimpin klasemen pembalap saat ini, Casey Stoner.

Melahap latihan bebas pembuka di Sirkuit Indianapolis, Jumat (26/8/2011), malam WIB, Spies membukukan waktu terbaik 1 menit 43,260 detik untuk jadi yang teratas.

Menyusul di tempat kedua adalah Stoner yang menorehkan waktu terbaik 1 menit 43,552 detik. Artinya, Spies unggul sekitar 0,3 detik di depan Stoner yang menggeber Honda.

Pembalap Amerika Serikat lainnya, Colin Edwards, juga tampil cemerlang di sesi latihan pertama ini. Menggeber motor Yamaha Tech3, pembalap senior itu mencetak waktu 1 menit 43,574 detik untuk menduduki posisi ketiga.

Juara dunia 2010, Jorge Lorenzo, tampil tidak terlalu optimal. Rekan setim Spies itu cuma duduk di posisi keenam. Catatan waktu pembalap Spanyol itu adalah 1 menit 45,065 detik.

Duo Ducati, Nicky Hayden dan Valentino Rossi, mencatat hasil lumayan. Hayden mengekor performa apik para pembalap tuan rumah dengan duduk di posisi kelima dan Rossi setingkat di bawahnya.

Lorenzo Berharap hasil Terbaik Di Indianapolis

Motogp - Jorge lorenzo sang juara dunia motogp 2010 sudah tiga kali melakoni balapan di indianapolis selama dia masuk kelas motogp, dari ketiga balapan yang dijalani , lorenzo cukup bagus di sirkuit ini yaitu pada tahun 2008 dan 2010 lorenzo berhasil finish di urutan ketiga. Sedangkan pada musim 2009 lorenzo meraih podium tertinggi.

Bermodal hasil diatas lorenzo berharap balapan akhir pekan nanti dia akan mendapatkan hasil maksimal kalau gak podium tertinggi setidaknya dia berada di depan casey stoner yang sedang memuncaki klasemen dengan selisih poin 32.

Lorenzo memang masih punya kans untuk mempertahankan gelarnya musim lalu yaitu sebagai juara dunia motogp. Sebelas seri sudah berlalu dan lorenzo masih tertinggal 32 poin dari pemuncak klasemen casey stoner. maka dari itu lorenzo sangat berharap diakhir pekan ini bisa mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal tentunya dengan semangat juara duanianya.

"Indy adalah lintasan yang aku amat sukai. Aku menikmati kenangan indah seperti podium 2008 dan 2010, dan kemenanganku di 2009 mengenakan helm Kapten America."

"Aku harap energi bagus yang aku rasakan di lintasan ini akan tetap membantu kami untuk meraih titel. Aku sangat bersemangat untuk kembali ke AS dan mengendarai M1-ku," seru Lorenzo.

Lorenzo Sad

Lorenzo Disappointed

Rossi Happy In Fourth Position

MotoGP Indianapolis Race Result

Spies Break Domination 'Big Four'

MotoGP Indianapolis Free Practice I Result

Spies: Take advantage of Second opportunities
