Sport News - Valentino Rossi admitted that he still needs time to be able to perform optimally. This was disclosed by this Italian racer after he finished fourth in Indianapolis.
Rossi previously had an accident that broke his leg at Mugello in May. He also suffered a dislocated shoulder while doing exercises on post-comeback at the Sachsenring preparations.
But until last weekend he still can not be passed on Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo. Although not yet able to compete to become champion but Rossi was still happy because the recovery faster than expected.
"This is a positive race, I had to make the same lap with Lorenzo and (Ben) Spies. This week's good because we worked very well on the motor and we went back to our style," Rossi said as quoted by Autosport.
However, Rossi is still not yet appear to admit a maximum. "Now I just need the strength (physical) more and preparation because I suffered a lot. I need time to return to maximum performance," he said.
Rossi also admitted that the issue of fitness is still going to be the same issue at Misano this weekend. "In Misano we are very fast in the last two years. Too bad I did not improve my physical condition," said The Doctor.
"However Misano is a different atmosphere, I like the track and happy with the direction of the motor. I am still racing and the team was still able to work. Trek to the front is always good for me," said the Ducati rider that will strengthen next season.
