Rossi Fastest in Opening Session
Sport News - Valentino Rossi made a positive initial impression of his cage before the race at Mugello. At the first practice session on Friday (06/04/2010), Fiat Yamaha rider's team posted the fastest times.
In free practice the Rossi recorded a time of one minute 49.751 seconds, 0.369 seconds ahead of his teammate who is also its nearest competitor by far, Jorge Lorenzo.
Another Italian, Loris Capirossi, achieving good performance with a third position, followed by an American Yamaha rider Colin Edwards.
Honda rider Dani Pedrosa became the fastest in the session by occupying the fifth spot. As for Casey Stoner had to settle for seventh place, or one rung below Ben Spies.
